Rained in the morning...sun came out for three hours. Riding at 55 degrees SWEET! Then the cold rain came.

First Sunday ride for 2011...02 Jan 71 miles

Riding in a winter wonderland ...Chicago style. 21 degrees with -5 windchill.
Notes: Head, body, and pant warm....feet and hands could have been warmer. Heated Gloves???

Bike: My temp gauge never went up 30 degrees HD ran fine. Gear shifting a little rough. Karl's ran high idle all day.

31 December 2010 - Rode the bike!!!!

The rain came.... sun came out early, melted all the snow. Went out for a ride to check out my new winter riding gear....extra ...it rained. Gear passed.

Introduction

I am a hard working woman. I advocate for people who have disabilities. I am a pilot. I fly with & teach for the USAF AUX. I rescue dogs. I teach dog obedience. I am a daughter, sister, friend and wife. I ride because it is cheaper that therapy.

How did you get started riding motorcycles?

I started off with scooters. A friend of mine who is an NIU Motorcycle Instructor strongly suggested I ride my 150cc legally (I didn't know the law changed). So I took the course. My uncle helped me out with obtaining my Ninja. The rest is History.

How long have you been riding motorcycles?

Since 2008. My rider safety course was during the rainiest weekend of the year. Towns were flooding, the wind was blowing and it was literally raining, up. I truly value that experience. I not afraid of riding in the rain anymore.

What would you like to get out of Rocket Chic Motorcycle Group?

Leave the hubby at home and just do my own thing with the girls. Let my hair down. Meet fellow female riders. Ride to new places. Increase my riding skills and experiences. Just have a great time riding.

Do you have any suggestions as to where we can all ride to?

I will ride to just about anywhere for good BBQ.

REVIEW: 29th Annual Cycle World Int'l M/C Shows

Went to the Rosement show on Sunday (21 Feb 2010) @ 1230-4pm
Traffic was very heavy going in the parking lot (pay for the parking prior to entering the show).
Didn't see BMW dealerships out there. Very good show of basic bikes from local dealerships. Nothing worth buying (not great price deals) anythng...low end products to ...very high end. No bargains.
